Technology in Libraries.

Technology recently becomes buzz words in almost every field of life specially in libraries. It has been around for more than 60 years, but it feels like it’s only been around for a few years. Mostly because these technologies are now be used to solve day-to-day problems.

As Rajesh Ganesan (2019) said;

In the last two decades, technology has really aged well. IT has its challenges; it has its problems. But what is fundamental has not changed. Twenty years ago, you had technology, and you had technology that enabled profession. So, profession could basically try new professional models and reach higher goals.

Libraries are universally known as important social institutions and no organization is considered complete without a library system. With the emerging trends of technologies libraries are facing change like, changing users’ needs, changing information environment or Web/Google that is trying to replace the management section of libraries. Use of Disruptive technologies is resulting in transition from Print to Digital “IT managerial library system”.
